Drug Testing Methods

Choosing a device is an important step when designing a program.  Over the last few years, there have been great advances in the technology of drug and alcohol screening.  Many companies now offer hair, saliva, and sweat tests as an alternative to urine.  These new devices each have a number of advantages and disadvantages that must be taken into consideration.  Urine testing continues to be the industry standard.

As a third party administrator, we are able to choose the device that best fits a school's program.  We do not own a particular product or laboratory, granting us the flexibility that many school districts require.  Many of our school district's programs demand that every specimen be sent to a SAMHSA certified laboratory for screening and GC/MS confirmation.  Each result is then verified by a Medical Review Officer.
